Big ideas and dreams live in each of us. We see all sorts of great visions of a better lifestyle or deeper meaning. We can sometimes live for years, even decades on those thoughts. It is a real shame that most of us are willing to live with a life that is only ‘good enough’ with the justification that someday things will be better. Success is a choice, it is your choice, and you choose it by the actions that you do each day. If you know where you want to go then you need to make a 100% commitment that you will do whatever it takes to get there. If you want something bad enough, that’s what it is going to take.
Action habits are the things you need to do consistently to reach a desired goal or accomplishment. Where most people drop the ball is in maintaining that momentum and ambition during the whole duration of the journey and not just the few initial days of getting started. Have you ever heard the saying that if it were easy then everybody would be doing it? Well it is true that everybody does the easy part which is to either think about what they want or they even go so far as to take the first step, but as it gets tougher they drop out and go back to things as they were because at least they know what to expect and it does not take any extra effort. People tend to prefer comfort over change.
Is that what you want for yourself, or do you want something better? Do you know that the majority of people feel they are above average and think they work hard? That just isn’t true, but it sure is interesting. There are people out in the world today who have made a great name for themselves and are extremely successful. They actually make a living telling people exactly what they need to do to reach that same level of success and would you believe that the success rate of their students and clients is below 10%. Isn’t that just crazy!?! It is not that they aren’t teaching and sharing the whole truth behind their success, it is that their students and clients are not practicing and participating in the action that is necessary to move them forward.
The reason for expressing this bizarre truth is to wake you up to the fact that you could well be one of the people who has an opportunity to reach their potential and yet waits for it to be shown to them. If you want to not only think you are above average but actually be above average then what would you need to do differently? Where would you start on your journey to becoming all you are capable of being? Remember, it starts with a 100% commitment and then you follow that up with action, what ever it takes, until you are living the results that excited you into motion in the first place!
