Have you given thanks today?

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity…. It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~ Melodie Beattie

We hear a lot of talk about Love. Most of those talking about love have little idea what love is. They talk about conditional love, a love that says, “what’s in it for me?”

True love does not ask what’s in it for me. A loving heart is a grateful heart. There can be no true love without gratitude. What are you grateful for?

You are grateful for simply being alive. Grateful to be able to experience the wondrous Universe and all that is in it. The grateful heart begins each day with a prayer of thanks.

That prayer is not necessarily religious, but it is certainly spiritual. The more one relates to God or source, the more love is in their heart. The more love, the more gratitude.

In order to manifest and enjoy the life you dream of you must have love and gratitude in your heart. Without them, even if you get everything you think you want, you cannot be content and joyous. Without love and gratitude you always want more, and more, without ever enjoying what you have.

The best thing you can do in manifesting your dreams is to cultivate gratitude for what you already have. That is living in the now. Now is the only time you can be happy and at peace.

If you have the attitude that you will be happy when you achieve your dreams you are wasting the opportunity to enjoy life now. Each moment lost is lost forever.

You, the real you, is always at peace and content. It is only your earth personality that experiences discord and discontent. The trick is to stay centered and express the knowledge of self. The knowledge that you are a divine being and you are here to play the game of life.

You must keep reminding yourself that this is the truth of your existence. Make it your intention to play the best game you can so that when the game is over you can answer two question with Yes.

Those two questions are, “Did you find joy in your life?” and “Did your life bring joy to others?” It was believed by the ancient Egyptians that when one entered the afterlife, the keeper of the gate asked these two questions to determine if they were worthy to enter the kingdom of heaven.

If you can answer these two questions with yes then you are successful in the game of life and have reaped the rewards of heaven on earth.

TODAY’S TIP: Begin and end each day with thoughts of gratitude. If you are grateful you will receive more.

What more do you want?
