How is your self image?

Today and for this week we will talk about self image. How you see yourself will determine how you get along in life. We hear the words low self esteem and low self worth along with self image a lot these days.

It seems that the majority of people are suffering from these conditions. When we have low self esteem and low self worth due to our confused self image it is like we are in prison. We cannot reach our true potential.

In our heads we know that we are spiritual beings, we know that we are worthwhile human beings, but below the surface we feel like something is missing. We are held prisoner by our fear which is caused by the confusion created. One one lever we know who we are but on another be don’t believe it.

Look into the mirror and ask yourself who you see looking back at you. Do not ask with your mind, ask with your heart. Be honest with yourself. If the person looking back at you is someone you dislike or someone you don’t know, it is alright. In other words if that person looking back at you is not who you want to be, do not be discouraged.

You can change you self image. All it takes is setting your intention and some  effort on your part. If you are ready to be all that you can be, to have all that you can have, all you have to do is follow the steps faithfully and believe that it is yours.

Step one is decide who the ideal you is.  What are the qualities that you want to have? Then, when you look in the mirror pretend that you are already that person.

Step two, decide what your life would look like if you had everything you wanted. Place that picture in your mind and believe you have it.

Step three, practice steps one and two as continuously as you can. When you practice bring in all your senses to experience the picture in your mind and feel the emotions that you would feel if you picture was reality.

Sounds easy, doesn’t it. It is as long as you maintain the attitude that you were meant to have whatever makes you happy in life. Your attitude plus your dedication to the process will make it be.

It is important to remember that if you never achieve your dream, it is not the destination that matters, but the journey. That is why you should be happy on the journey, if you never arrive you will have enjoyed the time spent. Life is about feeling good and enjoying each day at a time.

TODAY’S TIP: First thing in the morning put that picture in you mind. Keep it there through out the day and be sure to have it there as you fall asleep.
