Today I present a few tips on how to take action and be consistent.

The results that we most want to see are hiding in the actions we hold ourselves back from taking. Don’t wish, talk and dream about what you want, do something about it! There is no doubt that we all know how important taking action is. We know that is where the results are, but still we get stuck in adding ideas, planning, new opportunities, scheduling and learning. These distractions cause us to avoid the most important step, which is to move our business forward and that only happens by taking action!
Here are 3 things that have helped me to take consistent action and I hope they will help you as well;
1. Identify the most important task each day and focus your attention on that and stick with it until it is done! If is a big target, break it down into milestones that would not take more then 2 hours to complete.
2. Have an accountability partner. Tell someone what your goals are and check in with them each week by phone or e-mail. This really helps you keep your focus as you won’t want to let them know day after day or week after week that you aren’t doing what you committed to doing.
3. Have a blueprint laid out for the year and for each quarter. Keep track of the accomplishments you make that bring you closer. I have a highlight document on my computer and I add all my accomplishments big and small to remind myself that I am moving forward and making progress. This is so great to look back at on days where I feel discouraged and like I am spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. Try it!
Taking action really is one of the most important rules or principles of success and if you are not seeing the results you’d like to see then I’d suggest you take a look at you plan of action and see where you can get more determined and step up your game!!
