What do you think?
“You must constantly ask yourself these questions: Who am I around? What are they doing to me? What have they got me reading? What have they got me saying? Where do they have me going? What do they have me thinking? And most important, what do they have me becoming? Then ask yourself the big question: Is that okay? Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.” ~ Jim Rohn
Why would I spend a week talking about thinking? Because true thinking is an art. It is said that only 5% of the people think, 90% think they think, and the other 5% don’t care.
Just because there are thoughts running around in your head does not mean that you are thinking. If you look around you see the majority of people allowing others to do their thinking for them.
We see people stating what they consider facts because someone told them it is so. The media will repeat things that they know are not true, but by repeating them people begin to believe them.
Very few people have the courage to think for themselves. Yes, it does take courage, because if people think for themselves they must often go against the popular public beliefs. They will sometime even have to go against their peers and family.
With all of that said, the only way a person can be truly successful is by being a free thinker. You must be able to think for yourself and not allow others to instill their beliefs in you.
You are Divine creations and connected with all things. This means you are connected to all knowledge. In order to tap into that knowledge you must get past the thoughts and suggestions of those around you.
The two areas where people are most likely to give away there power and repeat things they have heard, without taking the time to verify, are religion and politics.
When President Obama was campaigning our next door neighbor told us of her sister. Her sister lives in a small town in the Appalachian mountains. Her minister had told her that Obama was Muslim and no black man would ever be President. Our neighbor’s sister took it as truth and the two of them argued, but she was unable to get her sister to listen to the truth.
After the election, the minister began telling his congregation that President Obama was the anti-Christ. This she still believes.
Why would people give up their p0wer to such an extent? I can only answer, fear! I used to do intuitive readings. I was often approached by people who wanted me to tell them their future. I would respond by saying that I was not a fortune teller and that they controlled their future. Many of course, did not believe that.
I think part of the reason people wanted me to tell them their future is so if anything goes wrong they had someone to blame. “The Devil make me do it.”
TODAY’S TIP: Investigate and research for yourself. Find your own truth.
