Do you follow your Bliss?

“Nobody else knows your reason for being. You do. Your bliss guides you to it. When you follow your bliss, when you follow your path to joy, your conversation is of joy, your feelings are of joy — you’re right on the path of that which you intended when you came forth into this physical body” ~ Abraham ~

I have often heard people ask, “Why am I here?” or “What is my purpose?” Many people go through life searching for there purpose. Many never find their purpose.

Is it really necessary to search and spend time that could be utilized in a more fulfilling way? As the quote says, we can find our purpose simply by following our bliss.

We were meant to be happy and the only thing that gets in our way is ourselves. We are conditioned to expect the negative aspects of life and are led to believe that those negative aspects must cause us suffering.

There are those that believe that life is for suffering and if it is endured with humility one gets their reward in the afterlife. I had one person tell me that earth is a penal colony and we are being punished.

Can you imagine how miserable that person’s life must be? You live the reality that you believe in. If you believe you were meant to suffer, then suffer you will.

We cannot escape the fact that sometimes our life is not what we would have it be. Bad things do happen to good people just as good things happen to bad people. We cannot prevent that but we can choose how we will react to the events of our life.

If we react from ego it will usually bring pain in the form of anger or hopelessness. If we react from spirit we usually have positive outcomes. It is your choice.

How do you make sure you react from spirit? Well you must remain centered and filled with love. Before reacting take a deep breath and ask yourself, is this situation worth loosing a little of my life over.

That is exactly what happens when you react in anger or jealousy or feelings of inadequacy. It is said that each minute spent in anger is a minute off your life. Not only do you lose that minute in the moment but it takes a minutes of the end of your life.

If you focus on feeling good all the time you may not be able to accomplish it totally but each day you will feel good more than the previous day. In other words it is like practice. The more you practice the better you become.

As Abraham says, always reach for the thought that feels better. It is all in the mind.

TODAY’S TIP: Use daily meditation to strengthen your ability to remain centered.

How much bliss did you experience today?
